Beyond Time’s Curve

Poem

I followed at her feet
up to where the sun lived,
a place of silent winds and canvas clouds

We crossed dark rock
silhouettes against a pale green sky
caught in the fist of bright and angry days

We were searching for a glimpse
beyond time’s curve —
and as we climbed, the sun dimmed and fell away

Evening brushed us with quick soft shadows,
we lay back in the stillness of a sudden meadow
and floated upward, as the night filled us with stars
